Paper Planes Studio

is a multi-disciplinary, mission-driven creative tech studio. We create online and offline platforms for mission-driven people and places in arts, culture, community, narrative power, and social justice.

Sounds like you? Let’s grab a (zoom) coffee. ✈

The internet - and the world - is moving too fast for most of us to adapt, let alone react or reflect. We should move at the speed of culture. We don’t just react and respond, we reshape the possible.

Our team has created everything from community cinema platforms (try it - seriously, host your own screening) to hand-crafted streaming experiences, film festival sites whipped up over a long weekend, and no-code institutional websites that would make developers weep.

Our "services" include, but are not limited to: website design and development, digital workflow optimization, communications strategy, data and narrative visualization, tech-powered narrative analysis, and audience reach hacking. We’re also veterans of good old fashioned program design, which we make sure is adapted to the world of today (and tomorrow).

We use new tools, with a particular affinity for nocode and lowcode, and a critical but proficient approach to AI, to help you get your story out there faster: Imagine, Iterate (fast), Experience, Reiterate (faster).

Why Paper Planes? Because we get it. Before starting this thing, Stephano was about to complete a decade in culture and impact organizing. Now he is on a mission to bring the world of arts and culture and social justice in the region and the Global South up to speed on the latest innovations in digital creation to amplify their missions online and offline. Among other crazy endeavours, he created the cult open-access streaming platform www.AFLAMUNA.online

But don’t just take our word for it.

“Stephano pulled a gorgeous website out of nowhere, at the 11th hour, and helped us avoid a crisis for Ayam 11. I cannot wait to see what Paper Planes create for Rima [Khcheich].”

- Jad Abi Khalil, AFLAMUNA

“Marina is just great! I have never seen such precision-perfect wireframes. Her UX ideas bring value to every page, and she is an absolute pleasure to work with.”

- Maya Chams, Megaphone

“As an organization preparing to launch, we trusted Paper Planes Studio to build our digital foundation - and they are creating something that will truly become the backbone of everything we do.”

- Lydia Mardirian, ma3aber collective

In the meantime, we're keeping mighty busy.

The groundbreaking home of agriculture and contemporary art in rural Palestine, Sakiya, is translating its iconic physical space into the digital realm.

The visionary music maker Rima Khcheich is crafting a digital presence to match the depth and vibrancy of her art.

ma3aber collective, an upcoming "micro-organization" for "arts, culture, and political imaginary" is building the digital foundations for the work they promise will be groundbreaking.

We're also working on a new streaming service for the movies nobody ever sees (yes, another one of those), and our very own digital products! (shhh, don't tell)

But we still have time for you - ready to start folding? (cringe is back, btw) ✈

Oh, and we're non-profit, so all of the income you help us generate goes right back into creating products and building capacity for mission-driven people and places.
